HOW IT WORKS
This first call is basically a vibe check for want of a less trendy term. Is this someone I’d be comfortable spending a good chunk of my wedding day with, being honest with and trust that they are being honest with me?
The key to good photography is making people feel like they’re not being photographed. That means no standing still, no quiet moments only good banter and gentle direction. I keep you moving, keep you talking, and the photos end up looking like you as you as you are together but on your best day.
The first date/chat

After we chat, I send through what I call my pick and choose quote, think of it like the lolly section at the supermarket, it’s everything I offer so you can pick what actually is to your taste. Six and eight hour packages are the most common, but there’s no reason it can’t be seven or nine. My honest advice: if you’re not doing getting-ready photos, six to seven hours usually covers it. Whereas 8 hours is often the sweet spot for getting ready through to about half an hour on the dance floor, the same people are up dancing at the start as at the end, so more hours there doesn’t get you more variation, just more of the same photos.

Book what you think you’ll need, we can always adjust the final invoice once we’ve built the timeline together properly, I totally get that its hard to know 12-18 months out exactly how things will fall.
A 25% non refundable deposit locks in your date, along with a contract and a quick questionnaire, just your details and anything you’ve already booked and if you're looking for some recommendations of other vendors your in need of, I send them through at this point too.

I like to get involved in the timeline early, because I’ve done this a few hundred times now and I know the rhythm of a wedding day, how long family photos actually take, how long the good buffers need to be. and where its best to put them.
It means on the day, you get to float around in your love bubble ignoring the time, because if you need to be somewhere, ill let you know.. That’s the whole point, it means you get to actually be present in the moment you’re in, instead of half your brain being ten minutes down the track worrying about what’s next.

About a month out, I send a more detailed questionnaire. The more you tell me, the more personal I can make the photos, things like grandma’s flowers from her own garden ending up on the signing table, or a cousin thats flown from the other side of the earth to be there - the more I know the better. The little things that matter to you become the things I keep my eyes peeled for.

The week before, we jump on a call and step through the whole day start to finish. What youll be wearing when I arrie to prep, whos handing out the petals for the petal toss, are there any mobility considerations for family photos ect. Partly so we can catch any gaps, but mostly because couples get off that call and realise they’re actually way more organised than they thought, allowing that excitement to get to the next level. I like it to be the week before so we can discuss potential plans B and C if the weather forecast’s looking dodgy, since by that point it’s actually accurate enough to trust.

Consider me your most experienced wedding party member and guest - here to help! I’m not a wallflower either, I’ll be in it with you, dancing, talking, part of the room, not just standing on the sidelines snapping away. People relax more around someone who’s actually there with them.
The day itself

24 to 48 hours after the wedding, you’ll get some sneak peeks to share with family and keep that post-wedding high going. It’s also a nice bit of confirmation, because sometimes you wake up the next day thinking, what actually happened? Did we really look as happy as it felt? Yeah, ya did.

Eight weeks later, your full gallery lands as a link in your inbox, high-res, downloadable, easy to share with everyone. There’s a print store attached too - hot tip - always go through a proper lab rather than somewhere quick and dirty, you've spent the big bucks on the photos, and ive done the time getting the editing just right, dont let some machine oversaturate and sharpen them for heavens sake!
