Picture this: your parents own a dream house that just happens to replicate a European wedding venue, you’ve found a person and a dog that you love. You decide to make a baby, and get yourself a wife. You set a date, the garden looks phenomenal, you get yourself a rockstar celebrant @natsproal.melbournecelebrant, and book the local bar out for your mates. It’s go time. It starts to rain. But fuck it, let’s just still have the absolute best damn day, with some of our best damn people and get some god damn pizza and cookies and call it a day.

On Monday, one of the best women I know got married to her Dan, and just like dancing together in a dorm room to 90s pop at uni, to the births of her two beautiful children, I was lucky enough to be there with her.
